Snap a business card, get a contact

Take a photo of a business card or drop a scan. The name, title, company, phones, email, website and address come out as separate fields, then one click puts them in your phone's contacts or in a file your CRM imports.

How to photograph a business card

A card is small and its details are smaller. A few habits help:

  • Lay the card on a dark surface and shoot from above.
  • Bring the phone close until the card fills most of the photo.
  • For a glossy card, tilt the phone a little so the light does not glare on the print.
  • For a two-sided card, photograph each side separately.

Into your phone's contacts

After the read, "vCard for contacts" downloads a vCard file. On a phone it opens straight in the add-contact screen; on a computer you can import it into Google Contacts or Outlook.

Into your CRM: one file, fixed columns

"CRM CSV" downloads a file with the columns first_name, last_name, full_name, company, job_title, email, phone, mobile, fax, website and address. In the import, map each column to the matching field. The columns are the same in every file, so the mapping is always the same.

Several cards at once: scan them into one PDF, one card per page, and you get one row per card. Each page counts as one page.

Questions

Questions about this tool

Does it work with English cards?

Yes. Hebrew, English and bilingual cards are read the same way, and every detail is kept as printed.

Is the name split correctly into first and last?

The first word is the first name and the rest is the last name; a title like Dr. is dropped. Check names of three words or more. The full name is also kept in its own column.

Do you keep the cards?

No. The image is read in memory and not stored on our side, and the result is saved only in your browser.

Can this connect straight to my CRM?

Through the API: a flow in Make, n8n, Zapier or Power Automate sends the photo, gets JSON with the same fields and creates the contact. For a connection built around your system, write to us.
